We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Edinburgh, or Glasgow to support our impressive portfolio of geotechnical projects both in the UK and internationally.

We need to expand our team to meet growing client demands in sectors such as infrastructure (rail, highways, water) and energy (carbon capture & storage, renewable energy, offshore/onshore oil & gas, nuclear power).

Your Role:

• Be a senior geotechnical engineer with proven technical and project management experience. Mentoring junior engineers and strong communication skills are essential. Experience in Design and Build environments is highly desirable.
• Hold a degree in civil engineering or geology, a postgraduate qualification in geotechnics, and chartered status as a civil engineer or geologist.
• Contribute to developing and expanding our infrastructure and energy geotechnics capabilities within our growing team.

What You Bring:

• A solid academic background, ideally MSc or equivalent.
• Chartered status and experience in a fast-paced engineering consultancy.
• Project management skills, client relationship experience, and commercial awareness.
• Proven geotechnical design experience, numerical/analytical skills, and familiarity with software like GeoStudio, Repute, Wallap.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations, excellent interpersonal and technical skills, and team leadership abilities.
• Strong communication skills, confidence in liaising with clients, and a good track record in project negotiations.
• Excellent report writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce accurate work.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas; a valid UK driving license is required.
