The Role?
FMS are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer with experience in the design of offshore foundations to join FMS's growing team. The role will involve supporting FMS's engineering and marine departments in the planning and execution of offshore mooring systems.

The role will involve a range of geotechnical engineering activities, ranging from performing anchor FEED studies to managing the design and installation of offshore foundations.

What will you do?

• Perform design and analysis of offshore foundations, such as driven pile, suction caissons, DEAs, etc.
• Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments for offshore projects.
• Participate in R&D activities, which includes assisting in undertaking tests in FMS's in-house geotechnical testing facilities.
• Manage 3rd party contractors in the execution of the design, fabrication, and installation of offshore foundations.
• Responsible for managing the geotechnical engineering portion of the project, including the correspondence with external stakeholders.
• Work closely with FMS's engineering, marine, and survey departments in the planning and execution of projects.
• Responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Your Qualifications & Experience?

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or similar field.
• An understanding of site investigation techniques and interpretation.
• Experience in performing geotechnical assessments, including the design of offshore foundations.
• Understanding of offshore design codes and standards (DNV, API, ISO, ABS, etc.).
• Proficiency in writing technical reports and presentations.
• Experience in liaising with classification societies and obtaining design approval for offshore foundations.
