Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Manchester is recruiting a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to manage geoenvironmental projects from initial site investigation through to remediation and redevelopment. You will oversee Phase 1/Phase 2 work, interpret data and prepare detailed reports while mentoring junior engineers.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements, a competitive salary (£45,000-£50,000) and opportunities to develop client relationships and progress within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in geoenvironmental consultancy and contaminated land.
• Proven track record managing Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations.
• Knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and guidance.
• Experience producing high-quality technical and interpretative reports.
• Chartered status (CGeol, CEnv, CSci or equivalent) or working towards chartership would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Manage and deliver geoenvironmental projects from site investigation through remediation.
• Lead Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Site Investigations.
• Prepare and review Preliminary Risk Assessments and Generic Quantitative Risk Assessments.
• Supervise ground investigation works and coordinate contractors.
• Interpret environmental and geotechnical data and produce reports.
• Develop remediation strategies and provide technical advice on contaminated land.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders; manage budgets and resources.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers and support business development.
