Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our Manchester team. You will lead complex site investigations, oversee contaminated land assessments, and guide junior staff within a supportive, development-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Eng. Geology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing site investigations and land risk assessments.
• Excellent report writing and interpretation skills.
• Leadership, client-facing experience, and ability to mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver geo-environmental and contaminated land projects from start to finish.
• Plan and supervise intrusive site investigations and risk assessments.
• Prepare Phase 1/Phase 2 reports and technical interpretations.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior consultants and manage budgets and programs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.
