Job summary

Innovate Skillsource Ltd. is recruiting a Senior Geo Environmental Engineer to join its Belfast team. The role covers brownfield regeneration, ground investigation, contaminated land and hydrogeology across diverse sectors.

The successful candidate will plan, supervise site investigations, interpret technical data and liaise with clients while contributing to business development and delivery of robust environmental solutions.

Qualifications

Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science.
Relevant postgraduate industry experience.
Sound technical knowledge of contaminated land, ground investigation and hydrogeological projects.
Experience planning, managing and supervising site investigations.
Experience undertaking contaminated land assessments and risk assessments.
Strong technical report writing and data interpretation skills.
Knowledge of current technical standards, guidance and development planning requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan, manage and supervise ground investigations, including groundwater and ground gas monitoring.
Manage site investigation activities and ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained.
Undertake contaminated land assessments and apply current guidance.
Prepare Phase 1 desk studies and preliminary risk assessments.
Prepare and review Phase 2 interpretative reports.
Undertake risk assessments and communicate findings through robust reports.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders and colleagues; support business development.
