Job summary

RSK Ireland Ltd are seeking a highly experienced full time Geoscientist at Senior or Principal level to join our Belfast office on a hybrid basis. The role involves leading projects, mentoring staff, and designing site investigations for diverse sectors including infrastructure, residential, renewable energy and petrochemicals.

The successful candidate will hold a BSc in Geology or related field, with 5+ years post-graduate experience (10 years for Principal).

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Geography or related subject is essential.
• MSc in Contaminated Land, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or Engineering Geology and related subjects is desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience (10 years for Principal grade).
• Knowledge of contaminated land, waste and planning legislation in UK/Ireland.
• Experience with data management/software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, CAD is advantageous.
• Practical experience in environmental site investigations and related techniques.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects including high-quality interpretive reports within budgets and timescales.
• Mentoring staff and checking technical reports.
• Design and management of site investigation works and projects in relevant sectors.
• Communicating with clients and colleagues to build relationships and meet client expectations.
• Managing projects to meet commercial and technical requirements with leads.
