DTS Raeburn Ltd, part of the Igne group of companies, is an established provider of geotechnical and environmental engineering services across the UK. The company currently provides a wide range of services to retail, commercial and residential property developers, estate owners and funders, manufacturers and industrial process operators, civil/structural engineers, local authorities and regulatory agencies who rely on its expertise in geotechnical engineering, ground contamination appraisal, remediation services, environmental due diligence, auditing and other related services.
We are looking to recruit a Senior Geo-environmental Engineer to join our busy team, which includes civil/geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists, and geologists. This role is full-time (37.5 hours), working in our Walsall office, with travel across the UK to undertake site work.
The role is suitably varied depending on base skills and involves undertaking environmental due diligence reviews, various aspects of ground engineering including preliminary risk assessments, ground investigations, geotechnical assessments, ground contamination appraisals, remedial options appraisals, remediation strategies, and associated validation works.
It is essential that you display excellent oral and written communication skills; hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Contaminated Land, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Applied/Engineering Geology, or a related discipline; are a member of a relevant professional body, having achieved or be working towards Chartered status, and have a strong understanding of UK geology and hydrogeology.
It will be beneficial that you have experience in team management, with the ability to mentor graduate and junior staff, have experience of preparation of tenders for ground investigation works, and display a broad understanding of related matters including foundation options, mining considerations, and flood risk.

Salary: Salary of £33,000 - £40,000 DOE and company benefits.
