Job Description

Job Role – ESG Data Technician Analyst - Property Sector

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

Location: West Midlands

Type: Permanent - Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week

Purpose

Our client is looking to expand their team due to substantial company growth. This is a great opportunity for someone to grow their career in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) space. This role will support the ESG Manager and Steering Group with integrating ESG principles into investment and business decision-making processes.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist in collecting, analysing, and interpreting ESG-related data from multiple sources (energy, water, waste, etc.), including Horizon, Looker, utility invoices, and external sources such as UK Government and GHG protocols.
  2. Conduct research on ESG trends, risks, and opportunities across the real estate sector.
  3. Compile and maintain ESG datasets for internal and external reporting.
  4. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of ESG data in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  5. Assist in preparing compliance reports (e.g., SECR, ESOS).
  6. Prepare ESG communications for internal newsletters, training, and inductions.
  7. Stay updated on UK and EU ESG regulations and reporting standards.
  8. Assist in ensuring compliance with ESG-related legislation and company policies.
Ideal Candidate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), PowerPoint, Word, Horizon, and Looker.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Interest in developing knowledge and skills to become a key stakeholder in our ESG journey.
Qualifications
