Job Opportunity: Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer

My client is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the team based in Derby, due to continued growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop and manage the Derby team’s work and staff, supporting Directors in exploiting business opportunities.
2. Support colleagues in delivering departmental work and mentor junior staff members.
3. Work collaboratively within a team environment, benefiting from the support of both senior and junior staff.
4. Balance office and site-based work.

Key Tasks Include (but are not limited to):

1. Undertaking site appraisals, including reviewing third-party reports.
2. Designing and costing Phase 2 site investigations.
3. Contributing to Phase 1 desk studies, Phase 2 investigations, remediation strategies, and validation work.
4. Conducting site work, including logging soils and rocks to BS/Eurocode standards, sampling, monitoring, and scheduling.
5. Managing projects to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and schedule, and ensuring team responsibilities are clearly communicated.
