We’re looking for an experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to join a growing and ambitious team in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Geo-Environmental Engineer with experience in contaminated land, ground investigations and environmental assessment who is looking for greater responsibility, interesting projects and genuine career progression.

What will you be doing?

You’ll work across a varied portfolio of projects, providing practical and technical support from initial investigation through to reporting and remediation.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing and delivering geo-environmental and ground investigations
• Undertaking Phase 1 and Phase 2 contaminated land assessments
• Soil and groundwater sampling and interpretation
• Assessing contamination and environmental risks
• Preparing high-quality factual and interpretive reports
• Providing remediation and risk assessment advice
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other consultants
• Supporting project management and commercial delivery
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard

What are we looking for?

We’re keen to hear from candidates with:

• Previous experience in geo-environmental engineering or contaminated land
• A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related subject
• Experience of ground investigations and contaminated land assessment
• Strong technical report-writing skills
• Good communication and project management abilities
• A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A full UK driving licence is desirable
