Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Eng. Geology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing site investigations and land risk assessments.
• Excellent report writing and interpretation skills.
• Leadership, client-facing experience, and ability to mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver geo-environmental and contaminated land projects from start to finish.
• Plan and supervise intrusive site investigations and risk assessments.
• Prepare Phase 1/Phase 2 reports and technical interpretations.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior consultants and manage budgets and programs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and delivering geo-environmental and contaminated land projects from inception to completion
• Planning, supervising, and coordinating intrusive site investigations
• Undertaking contaminated land risk assessments and remediation strategies
• Interpreting geological, geotechnical, and environmental data
• Preparing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigation Reports, and technical interpretative reports
• Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary project teams
• Mentoring and supporting junior consultants and engineers
• Managing project budgets, programmes, and resource allocation
• Ensuring compliance with current environmental legislation and health and safety standardsSupporting business development activities and client relationship management

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working as a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant or in a similar geo-environmental role
• Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering Geology, Geo-Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of contaminated land legislation and UK regulatory frameworks
• Experience managing site investigations and contaminated land risk assessments
• Excellent report writing and technical interpretation skills
• Strong project management and client-facing experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
