Relation in London seeks a senior data scientist to model DNA sequences and regulatory genetics, linking sequence to function across disease biology. You will develop and apply computational models that connect genetic variation to molecular phenotypes and disease mechanisms.

You will work with Rosalind team, integrating genomic data with transcriptomic and perturbational datasets, contribute to publications, and guide downstream studies in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in computational biology or related quantitative discipline.
• Post-PhD experience, ideally in industry/biotech/pharma.
• Experience with DNA language models or transformer‑based sequence models.
• Strong knowledge of statistical ML and probabilistic modelling.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) and R, with HPC experience.
• Ability to drive projects end-to-end.

• Develop and implement ML models for DNA sequence and genetic variation in disease contexts.
• Build and benchmark sequence‑to‑function models including variant effect and regulatory activity.
• Integrate sequence representations with transcriptomic and epigenomic data to uncover disease mechanisms.
