Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Technical Support Engineer in the United Kingdom to ensure performance and reliability of generators and auxiliary systems. You will collaborate with the global engineering network, author technical reports, and support outages on customer sites, contributing to decarbonization and continuous learning.

The role requires a university engineering degree (Electrical bias), familiarity with power plant equipment, and strong communication skills to engage with customers

Qualifications

  • University degree in engineering with electrical bias.
  • Power generation experience preferred; recent graduates considered.
  • Strong practical engineering knowledge and willingness to learn Siemens products.
  • Familiarity with power plant equipment, especially large turbo-generators and auxiliaries.
  • Knowledge of control & instrumentation, hydrogen systems, and ATEX (desirable).
  • Experience using ERP systems to locate drawings, BOMs, and procedures.
  • Proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for Siemens generators and auxiliary products.
  • Develop and author technical reports, work scopes, and test procedures to support new product development and existing operations.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of Siemens generators and auxiliary systems. A typical day might involve collaborating with internal teams and the global engineering network, providing expert technical advice, authoring work scopes and reports, and preparing for outages. You’ll also visit customer sites to support fault-finding, maintenance, and upgrades, contributing to a sustainable energy future while advancing your own technical expertise.

What You Bring
  • A university degree in engineering with Electrical Bias.
  • Some relevant power generation experience preferred but recent graduates also considered.
