Job summary

Siemens Energy in Lincoln is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our Industrial Turbomachinery team. You will provide first-line troubleshooting, support the Field Service team, and collaborate with engineers to diagnose gas turbine control issues.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience with a strong foundation in engine systems.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex engineering problems and implement corrective actions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and provide leadership support.
• Familiarity with gas turbine control systems, including ladder logic code, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to Field Service during unscheduled shutdowns and ensure timely workscopes.
• Troubleshoot core, package, and mechanical issues; implement approved design changes as needed.
• Offer 24-hour support via out-of-hours hotline when required.
• Collaborate with Service Engineering to optimize installation, repair, commissioning, and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain a knowledge base of technical solutions and equipment details for continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include manning the Technical Support Helpdesk and traveling for on-site support as needed. How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will provide first-line support to the Field Service team during unscheduled shutdowns, ensuring timely technical workscopes are delivered.
