Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Fellow in General Surgery to work within the department handling duties across General, Vascular and Urology surgical services. The role includes on-call responsibilities, ward rounds, and involvement in MDT activities.

You will join the team with opportunities for clinical skill development and engagement in clinical audits. The post emphasises strong English communication and collaboration within a busy NHS setting.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent qualification required.
• MRCS/FRCS or equivalent required.
• Current GMC registration or eligibility to practice in the UK.
• Demonstrates understanding of audit, risk management and research.
• Working knowledge of English language is required.

Responsibilities

• Daily ward rounds and patient assessment.
• Supervise junior team members in patient management.
• Attend outpatient clinics and operating lists.
• Attend departmental activities such as MDT and teaching sessions.
• Participate in audit and mortality/morbidity reviews.
• Cover on-call rota and respond to A&E and ward calls.
