Job summary

Rutherford Briant in the South West is seeking a General Practice Senior Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and private clients, combining technical accounting excellence with strategic advisory and leadership.

You will oversee statutory accounts, tax returns, and personal/director/shareholder tax advice, while developing lasting client relationships and guiding staff development in a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
• Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients
• Broad technical knowledge across accounts preparation, corporation tax, and personal tax
• Experience advising owner-managed businesses, SMEs, directors and shareholders

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and private clients, acting as their main point of contact
• Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns
• Provide personal and business tax advice, including tax planning for individuals, directors, shareholders, and owner-managed businesses
• Deliver commercial and strategic advisory support, including cash flow planning, business growth, restructuring, and succession planning
