Job summary

Acorn Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior/General Foreman to lead on a water treatment site in Bristol and Devon. The role requires overseeing site teams, ensuring safety and programme delivery, and working within design and build projects across the UK water sector.

Qualifications

• Recognised Civil Engineering/Site Management Qualifications (SMSTS)
• Experience in Water/Waste Water Treatment Industry preferred
• Ability to manage and mentor site teams and ensure programmes and safety records

Responsibilities

• Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population and travelling public
• Manage, supervise and mentor the site team
• Promote cost conscious management through efficient use of resources
• Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated
• Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed and updated
• Maintain and provide 'as constructed' records to the CDMC for Health and Safety File

Key Duties

• Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole


• Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate


• Adopt, maintain and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources


• Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated


• Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated


• Ensure all “as constructed” records are provided to the CDMC for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner following scheme completion


• Attend all training associated with Site management duties including appointed person, temporary works etc as required

Requirements

• Recognised Civil Engineering/Site Management Qualifications (SMSTS)


• Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate)


• First Aid at Work


• Experience in the Water/Waste Water Treatment Industry (Preferable)


• EUSR Clean water


• Cat & Genny training (Cable avoidance tool)


• Fire Marshall
