Job summary

Acorn by Synergie seeks a Senior/General Foreman for a water treatment site in Bristol & Devon. The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary, life cover, health insurance and a pension.

You will lead a site team, manage programmes, safety, and documentation, and drive efficient resource use across schemes. Qualified candidates hold SMSTS, CSCS Site Manager and IOSH/CSM safety certificates, with First Aid, EUSR Clean Water and Cat & Genny training considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified in site management and safety with SMSTS and CSCS Site Manager.
• Formal health and safety certifications (IOSH or equivalent).
• First Aid at Work and EUSR Clean Water certification are preferred.
• Cat & Genny training and Fire Marshall qualification add value.
• Experience in water/wastewater projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and mentor the site team to deliver works.
• Ensure programmes are realistic and maintained; monitor progress.
• Prepare, review and brief method statements and risk assessments.
• Contribute to cost conscious management and efficient resource use.
• Provide as-constructed records to the CDMC after completion.
• Attend all site management training as required.

Key Duties

• Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole
• Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate
• Adopt, maintain and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources
• Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated
• Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated
• Ensure all "as constructed" records are provided to the CDMC for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner following scheme completion
• Attend all training associated with Site management duties including appointed person, temporary works etc as required

Requirements

• Recognised Civil Engineering/Site Management Qualifications (SMSTS)
• Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate)
• CSCS Site Manager (Min)
• First Aid at Work
• Experience in the Water/Waste Water Treatment Industry (Preferable)
• EUSR Clean water
• Cat & Genny training (Cable avoidance tool)
• Fire Marshall
