Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust in Salisbury is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine. This is a 12-month fixed-term Trust Doctor post offering 40 hours per week on site.

The role provides senior decision-making support, opportunities in upper and lower GI endoscopy, and participation in clinics. It also offers teaching, research activity, and development of the portfolio for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Fixed-term post for 12 months at registrar level with IMT3+ equivalent training.
• Opportunity to gain GI and general medical experience within a multidisciplinary team.
• Teaching and audit, research, and portfolio development encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior support with care of gastroenterology and general medical patients on the main ward.
• Offer guidance to junior doctors and support training in upper/lower GI endoscopy.
• Participate in on-call rota at SpR level.
• Contribute to teaching, audits, quality improvement projects.
• Develop portfolio and attend clinics to gain gastroenterology experience.
