Job summary

Flowserve in Lincoln is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to drive the retrofit and upgrade of gas turbine control systems. You will lead tender input, design, programming, testing, and commissioning while ensuring quality, cost control and on-time delivery.

Key contributions include developing controls capability, mentoring engineers, and supporting business growth through technically strong project execution in line with Flowserve values.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with PLC-based control systems.
• Proven experience with gas turbine control and fuel systems (essential).
• Commissioning and site installation experience essential.
• Offshore Safety Survival Certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review tender invitations and input to technical clarifications.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Projects, Field Service, and Aftersales to deliver integrated control solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for control system design, PLC programming and hardware manufacture.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Mentor other engineers and promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
• Support Sales with technical input and participate in customer visits.
