Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Workshop Technician to join the Overhaul & Repair team. The role focuses on stripping, inspecting, and rebuilding industrial gas turbine components in line with OEM drawings and company procedures.

You will work closely with Engineering and the Overhaul & Technical Services Lead to develop hands-on mechanical expertise with GEC EASI, ERBI, Siemens Energy SGT mature units, and other turbines, progressing technically in turbine overhaul, QA, and customer-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a related industry.
• ONC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering; hands-on experience considered in lieu of formal qualification.
• Familiarity with industrial gas turbines, GEC units, Siemens Energy SGT mature, Rolls-Royce Avon/Olympus/RB211 generators.
• Competent in Microsoft Office or similar business systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with team members, Engineering, and other departments to deliver turbine overhauls to agreed specifications on time and on budget.
• Maintain clear communication regarding progress, challenges, and technical issues to align with project objectives and customer requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and occasional site visits, applying practical engineering knowledge to turbine systems.
• Take responsibility for personal development, seeking guidance and feedback from colleagues and mentors.
