Job Description:

Our client is a successful, renowned Global Commodity Trading house. This role is based in the Finance team in London, which is the HQ for Oil and Gas trading activities.

Due to continued growth in the Gas, Power, and LNG markets, we are seeking a new Financial Operations/Settlements Analyst with experience in Gas & Power. You will support the team to ensure all settlements targets and KPI’s are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete the day-to-day workload as prescribed by your team lead and manager.
• Ensure resolution of operational issues and escalate where appropriate.
• Build relationships internally and externally to support business information flow.
• Manage end-to-end invoicing processes, including physical receivable and payable invoices, brokerage invoices, and error resolution.
• Monitor intercompany balances and invoicing processes.
• Liaise with internal teams on settlement disputes.
• Resolve queries from external parties and escalate as needed.
• Improve balance sheet position by resolving settlement issues and working with Finance teams.
• Follow processes to ensure all settlement information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Support and review internal process updates within FinOps.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Meet KPIs and performance targets.
• Assist with management reporting and ad hoc duties.
