Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Gas Engineer to join a property maintenance provider. The role is mobile across Oxford, Evesham, Droitwich, Cheltenham and surrounding areas, supporting domestic gas servicing and repairs in occupied homes.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex faults, mentoring engineers, and ensuring safe, high‑quality service. Offers a company van, fuel card, pension and healthcare, plus DBS check and driving licence requirements.

Qualifications

• ACS gas qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET1 and CPA1.
• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, Heating or Ventilation, or equivalent.
• Unvented hot water qualification.
• Strong experience diagnosing and repairing complex domestic heating faults.
• Basic electrical understanding of heating systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete complex repairs across domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and operational teams.
• Mentor colleagues and help improve first‑time fix rates.
• Support difficult access cases and appointments requiring a flexible approach.
• Communicate professionally with residents and handle sensitive situations with care.
• Maintain accurate job records using handheld devices.
• Participate in the out‑of‑hours rota and provide flexible service cover.
