Job summary

Dobson Welch Recruitment Specialists is recruiting for an experienced Garment Technologist to join a technical team for a well-established menswear brand. You will own categories from development through production, work closely with suppliers to ensure fit, quality and consistency, and manage critical path deadlines.

The role involves leading fit sessions, creating graded specs, and maintaining technical packs for production. Hybrid working is available, with commutable access to Bradford.

Qualifications

• Previous and recent experience as a Garment Technologist within menswear product.
• Strong understanding of fit, grading, construction and quality standards.
• Confident communicating with overseas suppliers and factories.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage garment fit from prototype through to production approval.
• Lead fit sessions and provide clear technical comments to suppliers.
• Create and maintain graded specifications and technical packs.
• Monitor garment quality, construction and finishing standards.
• Review testing reports, care labels and product compliance.
• Manage AQL approvals and support production quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with offshore factories and suppliers.
• Ensure critical path deadlines are achieved.
