Job Description:

Senior Furniture Product Developer

We are looking for a Furniture Product Developer to lead and manage the development of our furniture range, taking designs through to product launch. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, be able to provide technical support, manage quality and compliance, and have a good understanding of global sourcing. This is a full-time, permanent role based in our London office, reporting to the Head of Product.

About the Role

Tom Dixon furniture ambitions are developing rapidly with the aim to expand our business. We have launched new upholstery and outdoor categories and have an exciting product pipeline. We are seeking a dynamic Senior Furniture Product Developer to help us achieve our goals. Working within the Product Development team, you will manage the development process from design to finished product, ensuring quality and standards are met.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the furniture product development, collaborating with designers and technologists, working with suppliers, and ensuring products are of high quality, durable, and globally compliant.
• Design construction and SolidWorks modeling suitable for direct tooling from CAD files, delivering 2D and 3D CAD files and drawings.
• Managing the delivery of new products from concept to launch through a robust critical path, including pre-launch activities and retail support.
• Contributing to furniture product strategy through research and insights to create product launch plans that meet revenue and cost targets.
• Developing products with existing suppliers and sourcing new production partners as needed.
• Ensuring high-quality product data for all products.

The Ideal Candidate

We prefer someone with experience in a similar role, eager to support fast-paced product development. Specifically:

• At least 5 years of experience in furniture development.
• Familiarity with global sourcing for upholstery, wooden, and metal furniture.
• Proven collaboration with designers and engineers.
• Proficient in CAD, SolidWorks, 3D and 2D modeling.
• Strong skills in Excel.
• Self-motivated, proactive, with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholders, including presenting to senior management.
