Senior Fundraiser- Community & Care
Type of contract: FTC (until 31st December)
Location: London, U.K.*
Salary: Starting salary is £33,425 per annum with the possibility of £36,390 based on an assessment of skills and experience at interview stage
Closing date: 4th of June, 2024
Interview dates: Week commencing 10th of June, 2024

As our new Senior Fundraiser, you will collaborate with the Fundraising Manager to enhance supporter experience and grow community-based fundraising initiatives. You will manage key community fundraising events, such as the London Marathon, third-party events, and supporter-led activities.

What will you be doing?

  • Co-design and deliver community fundraising strategies.
  • Manage specific events like the London Marathon.
  • Provide high-quality supporter care, following protocols.
  • Comply with organisational policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in operationalising fundraising strategies.
  • Lead projects and events, ensuring their success and evaluation.
  • Coordinate with other departments for integrated campaigns.
  • Build relationships with fundraisers and volunteers.
  • Use data insights to optimise activities.
  • Support staff training on supporter care.
  • Report on project and event performance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Develop supporter care protocols and use CRM systems effectively.
  • Handle escalated supporter queries.
  • Gather supporter insights for continuous improvement.
  • Review supporter communications periodically.
  • Engage supporters through forums and feedback sessions.
  • Collaborate with digital teams to enhance online platforms.

Who are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Experience in supporter or customer care, engaging via phone, email, social media.
  • Excellent communication skills, managing complex conversations professionally.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems for supporter management.
  • Experience in cross-departmental collaboration in campaigns.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to align supporter care with fundraising goals.
  • Innovative supporter care approaches.
  • Experience in achieving fundraising targets.

*This hybrid role requires commuting to London. During training, in-office presence is 3-4 days/week; afterward, twice a month and occasionally as needed.

Desirable:

  • Experience in community fundraising and project leadership.
  • Skills in data analytics and supporter journey optimization.
  • Ability to contribute to cross-functional projects.
  • Advocacy for supporter insights in campaign planning.
  • Understanding campaign mechanics for supporter care plans.
  • Training team members in supporter care practices.
