Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a senior analyst to oversee and sign off financial accounts and reports produced by another jurisdiction within the UK Fund Accounting team. You will liaise with Trustees, Custodians, Auditors and fund management clients to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires FCA exams (or grandfathered) and strong Excel/InvestOne skills, with knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and IA SORP preferred. A London-based, full-time position offering a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Senior analyst or senior accountant experience in financial services.
• Must have passed FCA Training & Competence exams (or grandfathered); additional accounting qualifications preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with a mature approach.
• Strong written communication and numerical skills; proficient in Excel, Word, Lotus Notes and InvestOne.
• Good knowledge of FCA regulations for Unit Trusts, OEICs, ACS and CIFs (COLL) and IA SORP.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS accounting and investment trust regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, review & sign off financial accounts and reporting by another jurisdiction.
• Communicate effectively with NT Departments, Trustees/Depositaries, Custodians, Auditors and Clients.
• Deliver quality service and meet KPI deadlines and quality standards.
• Support development of production jurisdiction and provide feedback to local managers.
• Continually assess oversight processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk/cost.
