Job summary

Legalandgeneral, based in London, seeks a qualified accountant to join its Asset Management business within Private Markets and Real Assets. You will strengthen financial control and governance across Real Estate and Private Markets entities, reviewing information from third‑party administrators and supporting external audits.

Your technical accounting expertise and clear communication will drive audit readiness and process improvements.

Qualifications

Newly qualified accountant with strong foundation in technical accounting and financial control.

Responsibilities

Providing independent financial control and reviewing information prepared by third‑party administrators.
Reviewing period‑end outputs, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting evidence for accuracy.
Applying technical accounting judgement to routine and non‑routine transactions (valuations, accruals, impairments, structural events).
Challenging accounting treatments, documenting conclusions and identifying control weaknesses.
Reviewing financial statements against underlying records and agreed treatments.
Preparing going concern assessments and supporting audit requirements.
Handing over findings and risk impacts to Oversight team.
Contributing to improvements in control frameworks and accounting processes.
