The company is a leading global real estate investment management group with over $60bn AUM operating around the globe. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Fund Controller to join the team.. The role will report directly to a CFO. The successful candidate will be focused on a large Fund along with a sub funds. The role of the Senior Fund Controller will be to manage the day-to-day operations and reporting of the Fund, focusing on supervising and reviewing the work of Fund Controllers and Assistant Fund Controllers, monitoring the service levels provided by external administrators and supporting the CFO in wider strategic projects related to the Fund products.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• ACA / ACCA qualified with 5 to 10 years PQE
• Prior experience with Big Four or top tier accountancy firm and experience of alternative asset management or real estate investment management company and experience of fund accounting or control or through audit experience
• Strong financial control and analytical skills are essential
• Experience in managing a team
• Good problem-solving, excellent attention to details and strong excel skills are essential
• Proactive and able to organise your own work and schedule, with ability to meet deadlines
• Team player – able to work effectively and collaboratively within a small, dedicated team
• but also with the external service providers (i.e. administrators)
• Ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects

THE ROLE

Key responsibilities:

• Review of investor reporting (quarterly and annual) for the Fund
• Oversight of Third-Party administrators and external auditors
• Performance of Fund performance analysis, performance and equalisation payments
• Performance analysis and valuation of investments
• Assisting the Investment Operations, Investment, Tax and Legal teams on deal support, including operational due diligence
• Responsible for the coordination of tax and regulatory compliance of the Funds alongside the tax and compliance team
• Liquidity monitoring, forecasts and Investor draw downs
• Preparation and review of ad-hoc financial analysis
• Compliance with internal controls
• Responding to investor queries, working alongside the client services team to ensure investors are onboarded to the Fund and investor compliance is maintained
• Assistance in preparation of RFP documents
• Fund governance activities such as preparing board documentation, presenting to board members, and reviewing responses to regulator questionnaires.
