Job description

Our client is a well regarded city based hedge fund. A newly created position has arisen for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team.

The role is tasked with the delivery of key valuation and financial reporting oversight across a diverse product range.

Candidates should be self-motivated, team-oriented individuals with high attention to detail who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Financial reporting and audit management

  • NAV production and reconciliation
  • Product and investment valuation
  • Share class hedging and cash management
  • Fee calculation and reporting
  • Budgeting and expense management
  • Production and reporting of management information
  • Assisting with product and investor queries
  • Counterparty management – Administrators, Depositary, Auditors
  • Oversight of fund tax advisors

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified chartered accountant
  • 5+ year of experience in fund audit or relevant investment management accounting
  • Knowledge of fund accounting, accounting standards and fair value valuation principles, fee calculations and tax reporting
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Basic coding skills (SQL, Python, etc.) would be advantageous
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues, teams and service providers
  • Flexible, collaborative and proactive approach
  • Capability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment
