Job summary

Aztec Group is seeking a Senior Associate (Band 2) to develop expertise, build relationships, and own outcomes. You will grow subject matter knowledge, contribute to process improvements, and mentor junior staff while supporting team initiatives to enable Aztec's future ambitions.

Qualifications

• Responsibilities include handling accounting for a portfolio of fund structures, including equalisation and carry calculations.
• Interpretation and application of more complex LPA requirements to accounting processes.
• Assist with completion of complex audit queries.
• Lead regular client calls and correspondence.
• Undertake soft reviews of junior team work.
• Ensure internal control frameworks are followed.
• Maintain accurate records on internal systems and Excel work papers.
• Prepare and reconcile periodic direct and indirect tax returns as relevant.
• Mentor junior staff under supervision.
• Support fund administration processes as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the accurate preparation of equalisation and carry calculations
• Interpret and apply more complex LPA (Limited Partnership Agreement) requirements to accounting processes
• Provide assistance with completion of more complex audit queries
• Take an increasing lead in regular client calls and correspondence
• Undertake soft reviews of the work produced by more junior team members
• Ensure Aztec internal control frameworks are followed in full
• Maintain accurate records on internal systems and Microsoft Excel, working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting
• Deal with the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns to the extent relevant
• Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff
• Support with and/or complete fund administration processes as required.
