Job Description:

Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is recruiting for a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to support our UK projects.

This 4-year project forms part of a 5-year client contract with a potential and likely 3-year extension.

The role is intended as home-based with the option to work from any Wood office in the UK if preferred. Mobility and travel to customer sites and face-to-face meetings with colleagues will be expected as required.

Must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Functional Safety Engineer will provide technical and functional responsibility for Functional Safety project execution.

• Chartered Engineer and member of appropriate engineering institution ideal
• Good experience of EPC / MAC, plant operations experience in Process Engineering or Automation & Control Systems within the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore or infrastructure industries
• Experience in Brownfield upgrades / replacement automation and control projects
• Compressor Station / Metering experience is advantageous
• Maintain familiarity with latest industry developments and predict the impact on company activities
• Commercially aware
• Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and diplomacy
• Inquisitive, well-organized, and have a keen eye for detail
• Able to operate in an integrated team environment supporting others with a desire and ability to build trust and respect throughout the team
