Job Description: Full Stack Developer R&D

The Full Stack Developer R&D will provide software design, development, and application support for Clario products while adhering to departmental SOPs.

The Senior Full Stack Developer will focus on designing, developing, and supporting the TAP (Trial Application Platform), a SaaS web application used globally by clients across the clinical trial industry. This role involves working on both current software and new features.

We are a remote team developing web software to manage various phases of clinical trials. Our team comprises experts involved in the complete product development lifecycle. We prioritize flexibility; our platform can be configured to meet diverse client needs with minimal additional development, all while complying with strict industry regulations. Our platform is utilized worldwide by healthcare professionals to manage clinical trials led by renowned pharmaceutical companies.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working remotely with flexible scheduling across time zones.
• Following agile practices within a Scrum framework.
• Collaborating within a team of approximately 12 developers, primarily full-stack, with opportunities for learning new stacks.
• Participating in feature development within cross-functional teams of up to 7 members.
• Refactoring and updating the platform by dedicating time to stay current with new technologies.
• Developing new and existing features to meet evolving business needs.
• Writing testable, readable, and maintainable code.
• Advocating for excellent UI and UX design.
• Conducting code reviews to share knowledge and learn from peers.
• Documenting system behavior and sharing knowledge through sessions.
• Collaborating with team members and product teams to optimize workflows and break down large projects.
• Continuously enhancing code and product quality.
• Applying clinical process knowledge to develop better solutions.

What We Look For

• 4-6 years of experience as an Engineer/Developer.
• Deep expertise in Ruby and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Rails and React frameworks.
• Experience writing meaningful tests for Ruby (Rspec or Minitest) and JavaScript (Jest, React Testing Library, or Enzyme).
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to balance ideal and practical coding solutions.
• Skill in recognizing well-designed versus poorly designed systems.
• Experience structuring projects and devising technical solutions.
• Curiosity, motivation to learn, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
