Who we're looking for

We are looking for motivated senior software developers to join our Products team. Your main focus will be to contribute to the advancement of our platform that enables service providers to bring to market a selection of products and cloud services under a unified umbrella. Our dev team is young, energetic, and focused on using the best technologies and practices to solve our business goals. We have a flat organization where every member can make a difference and bring a unique point of view. This is a full-time position open to candidates across Canada. We operate in a remote-first work culture and environment.

In this role, you will:

• Develop Back-End applications using languages such as Java or Golang.
• Develop Front-End applications using JS frameworks such as Vue.js.
• Create and maintain test suites at various levels (unit, functional, automated or not).
• Lead product architectural design and analysis of strategic areas of the platform.
• Review code PRs (pull requests) to promote best practices and design guidelines.
• Collaborate in cross-functional projects to support customer requirements gathering, testing, etc.
• Create and manage data schemas & content using appropriate database technologies.
• Update and evolve CI/CD practices to ensure code is releasable at any time.
• Lead evaluation, benchmarking, and documentation of technical solutions.
• Act as a point of contact with customers to ensure product development aligns with commitments.
• Lead & oversee the creation of user stories.
• Design visual mockups & user interactions on web interfaces.
• Promote best practices in Agile methodology and design for usability and testability.
• Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
• Participate in increasing team knowledge through training.
• Mentor junior developers & interns.
• Assist operations team with second-level support.
• Lead troubleshooting incidents impacting production SLAs.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software developer.
• Excellent knowledge of Java.
• Familiarity with Groovy and/or Golang.
• Skills in web development, including REST APIs and JS frameworks like VueJS/Angular/React.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, CloudStack, OpenStack).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift).
• Proficiency in agile practices.
• Strong analytical and creative skills.
• Attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• Contributions to open source projects and Github profile.
• Knowledge of advanced networking (e.g., SDN, SD-WAN, NFV).
