Job summary

Elastic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Streams UI team. You will shape and enhance Fleet and Streams, building intuitive UI components, collaborating with designers and product managers, and driving end-to-end ownership in a fully distributed environment.

You will work in a full-stack JavaScript stack with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, emphasize performance, testing, and scalability, and contribute to open collaboration across timezones and teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with full-stack JavaScript (TypeScript preferred), React on frontend and Node.js on backend.
• Track record of leading non-trivial projects end-to-end with design ownership.
• Strong architecture and system-design judgment in large codebases.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate features and fix complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive UI components using TypeScript, React, and Node.js; ensure seamless integration with backend services.
• Own complex problems end-to-end; shape approach, split work, and deliver measurable results.
• Lead architecture discussions, balancing performance, backwards compatibility and scale.
• Establish coding standards, promote reusable components, and drive automated testing and deployment.
