Citi Belfast is looking for an experienced Application Development Technology Lead to own end-to-end delivery of Java and Python‑based enterprise features within the Source to Pay Solutions Technology group. You will collaborate with global technology and business teams to deliver against regulatory and transformation priorities.

You will apply Agile practices, embrace cloud‑native architectures, and explore GenAI capabilities to deliver secure and scalable applications while mentoring

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot) and Python or willingness to ramp up quickly.
• Front-end exposure with modern frameworks (React, Angular, or similar).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with a bias toward action and ownership.
• Practical exposure to cloud-native architectures and scalable systems.
• Awareness or experience with GenAI/LLM integrations into applications.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance Java-based backend services and Python components for enterprise-scale applications.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design to production rollout.
• Collaborate with global technology and business teams to meet regulatory and transformation priorities.
• Apply agile engineering practices and continuous improvement.
• Integrate GenAI capabilities into real-world applications where valuable.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Ensure applications meet Citi standards for security, stability, and control.
