Citi is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Java or Python) to help redefine global finance. You will work on full-stack development with Spring Boot, Flask, and modern JavaScript frameworks, building scalable cloud-native apps and integrating Gen-AI capabilities across platforms.

The role emphasizes collaboration with management teams, adherence to architectural standards, and mentoring junior developers in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack development with Java or Python.
• Deep experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot/Spring Core and Flask/FastAPI.
• Solid frontend experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native applications.
• Exposure to Gen-AI concepts including LLMs, prompts, and vector search.
• Familiarity with Gen-AI frameworks/tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, MLflow, or n8n.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to integrate functions and deploy new products.
• Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of complex business processes and system architecture.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure designs align with architecture blueprint.
• Develop standard coding, testing, and deployment practices.
• Understand how architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve business goals.
• Provide analysis and innovative solutions for issues.
• Guide mid-level developers and analysts as a coach.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and ethics.
