Job summary

Coltech in London is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Technical Lead for a major digital banking technology programme. This hands-on role requires expertise across Java, Spring Boot, Node.js and React, with Oracle Database and Azure cloud deployment.

You will provide technical leadership, contribute to solution architectures and drive quality across the full project lifecycle, collaborating with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects and Delivery Teams on a bank-wide digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on full-stack engineering with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js and React.
• Experience delivering cloud-native solutions on Azure and Oracle DB.
• Strong API and microservices design and delivery experience.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and engage with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js and React.
• Contribute to and review solution architectures, technical designs and implementation approaches.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
• Drive engineering standards, coding best practices and overall solution quality.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Enterprise Architects and Delivery Teams.
• Support engineering teams throughout the end-to-end delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to large-scale digital banking transformation and migration programmes.
• Develop and integrate APIs, microservices and cloud-native solutions.
• Work with Oracle Database and Azure deployment platforms.
• Contribute to event-driven solutions using Kafka where required.
• Hands-on Azure experience, ideally with Azure CNE.
• Strong API and microservices experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience providing technical leadership, design review and engineering guidance.
