Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and support market data platforms in a financial markets technology setting. You will work across UI, APIs and data layers to deliver end-to-end solutions for analytics, distribution and consumption workflows.

The role emphasizes high-performance, production-critical environments with a focus on scalability, RCA, and collaboration with trading, analytics and data teams to translate complex requirements into robust software.

Qualifications

• Proven full-stack development across UI, backend APIs and data stores.
• Experience with Python or polyglot backend development.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and/or gRPC services.
• Hands-on with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or HBase.
• Strong debugging and RCA skills in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications across UI, backend services and data layers.
• Build market data platforms supporting analytics, distribution and consumption use cases.
• Develop APIs and services using modern technologies, including gRPC.
• Work with large-scale data stores to manage structured and semi-structured market data.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive fixes to resolution.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with trading, analytics and data teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Contribute to platform improvements, performance optimisation and scalability.
