London
A leading multi-strategy hedge fund is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to work on its core trading and execution platform in London.
This is a genuinely front-to-back engineering role. You'd be building systems used directly by traders and portfolio managers, working across both the Java backend and React / TypeScript frontend.
Build and improve electronic trading and execution systems covering order flow, routing, broker connectivity and execution workflows. Develop trading applications used by the front office. Work directly with traders and senior technology stakeholders, and take meaningful ownership of systems running in production.
Around 4+ years of software engineering experience. Strong Java is important, alongside credible React / TypeScript experience. You'll ideally have worked within electronic trading, execution technology, OMS / EMS, FIX, order routing, broker connectivity or another front-office trading environment.
The team is open across asset classes. Hedge fund experience isn't essential, and strong candidates from bank electronic trading or algo trading teams are particularly relevant.
They're also interested in engineers who actively use modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor and are thinking about how AI can improve the software development process.
Small team, significant ownership and strong visibility with the front office.
