Job summary

Sotalent is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a hybrid Edinburgh team building modern digital platforms. You will work across front-end (React, Next.js) and back-end (C#/.NET) with Azure, shaping architecture, CI/CD pipelines and platform resilience.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive design decisions and collaborate with Product, UX and business teams to deliver scalable, accessible applications and high‑quality APIs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with React and Next.js in production environments.
• Strong backend development with C#/.NET, REST APIs.
• Practical Azure cloud experience and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience with Git, GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of accessibility, SEO, security and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure, scalable web applications and APIs.
• Build front-end applications using React and Next.js.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs with C#/.NET.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, incl. CI/CD and observability.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture and business teams on modernization.
• Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Improve platform resilience, security and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers and promote reusable services and best practices.
