Job summary

The Shore Group is seeking a skilled software engineer to join a small, high-impact team in the UK. You will develop both customer-facing and internal applications using React, NodeJS, and TypeScript, delivering features end-to-end with strong emphasis on security and reliability.

The role offers opportunities to mentor junior developers, influence technical direction, and work within an agile environment focused on growth and robust tooling. A proactive, self-directed approach is valued.

Qualifications

• 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally with full-stack focused roles.
• Proven experience building production applications with React & NodeJS.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL or MySQL.
• Experience writing well maintained, testable code using Vitest or Jest.
• Familiarity with modern RBAC authentication frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using NodeJS, React & Typescript.
• Develop robust, well-structured code in larger codebases.
• Deliver features end-to-end from requirements to production deployment.
• Work with modern tooling for large-scale, maintainable applications.
• Implement testing, monitoring and observability for production reliability.
• Build applications with security practices aligned to ISO 27001 standards.
• Contribute to documentation and issue tracking.
• Take ownership of assigned projects.
• Mentor junior developers through reviews and pairing.
