Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Kotlin + React) for Equities

Job summary

Luxoft in London seeks an experienced Java/Kotlin developer to contribute to the Equity Accelerator programme, a multi-year transformation of Prime Finance Equities platforms. You will design and build scalable, event-driven trading and post-trade systems in a cloud-native environment.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, apply capital markets domain knowledge, and own software quality through TDD, CI/CD, and frequent production releases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java development experience.
• 2+ years of Kotlin development experience.
• 2+ years of frontend development with React and/or Angular.
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills.
• Experience designing and developing event-driven distributed systems.
• Hands-on with messaging patterns, event processing, resiliency, and failure handling.
• Strong TDD practices and end-to-end software quality ownership.
• Experience in Agile environments with CI/CD and trunk-based development.
• Hands-on experience in capital markets, including trade lifecycle and position management.
• Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets or streaming technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support full-stack solutions across frontend and backend components.
• Build and enhance event-driven trading and post-trade applications.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
• Develop responsive and real-time user interfaces for equities platforms.
• Implement and maintain APIs, messaging integrations, and backend services.
• Ensure high code quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Participate in CI/CD practices, trunk-based development, and frequent production releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain data integrity in complex market environments.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering peers.
• Apply capital markets domain expertise to business and technical problem-solving.
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices.
