Job summary

Xe.com is rebuilding its platform layer for cross-border payments and is hiring a senior full-stack engineer to own problems end-to-end—from API design to backend services and production reliability. You will work with product, design, and compliance in a small team and lead design reviews.

You will design features across the stack, mentor engineers, and use AI tooling daily to move money, support multi-currency balances, and modernize legacy services into the new stack.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years building production web applications end-to-end.
• Frontend proficiency with Vue.js, React, or equivalent.
• Backend proficiency in C#/.NET preferred; other OO languages welcome.
• Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Writing and maintaining tests as part of how you ship.
• Daily use of agentic coding tools across the SDLC.
• Production experience on AWS, CI/CD, and services like SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda.
• Strong system design and architecture experience, incl. microservices/events.
• Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience.
• Track record of technical leadership: mentoring engineers and architecture decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and design.

Responsibilities

• Design and own features across the stack that move money and manage multi-currency balances.
• Lead delivery of customer-facing features from the interface to backend services.
• Own production health for your domain: reliability, observability, on-call, incident response.
• Lead cross-functional delivery with product, design, and compliance from problem framing through launch.
• Lead design reviews, set technical direction, and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Use agentic coding tools daily across the SDLC and modernize legacy services with architects.
