Job summary

Spectrum IT is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer in the UK to join a FinTech business delivering financial planning and modelling software. You will design, build, and maintain scalable applications, taking ownership from design through production and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.

You will work with modern stacks including TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
• Full-stack development experience using React and Node.js
• Experience designing scalable applications and APIs
• Good knowledge of MongoDB, Redis or similar technologies
• Experience with CI/CD, containerised environments, and automated testing
• Strong technical judgement, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with cloud platforms and AI-assisted development tools would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full-stack financial planning and modelling applications
• Take ownership of development from technical design through to production
• Contribute to architecture, performance, scalability and security improvements
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing
• Use AI development tools, ensuring generated code meets engineering standards
• Lead code reviews, share knowledge and support the development of other engineers
• Work closely with Product and business stakeholders to deliver practical technical solutions
