Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a growing FinTech business building financial planning and modelling technology used by major financial institutions across the UK. You will design, build and maintain key modules, take ownership from design through production, and influence engineering standards.

You will work with React and Node.js, design APIs, optimise performance and security, and contribute to CI/CD improvements.

Formación

• Proven full-stack development experience using React and Node.js.
• Experience designing scalable applications and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of databases (MongoDB/Redis) and testing.
• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain full-stack financial planning and modelling applications.
• Take ownership of development from technical design through to production.
• Contribute to architecture, performance, scalability and security improvements.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated tests.
• Lead code reviews and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to deliver practical technical solutions.

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a growing FinTech business building financial planning and modelling technology used by major financial institutions across the UK.
You'll play a key role in designing and developing complex applications, influencing technical decisions, and improving engineering standards. This role suits an experienced engineer who enjoys solving challenging problems, taking ownership, and supporting colleagues.
Skills required:

• Proven full-stack development experience using React and Node.js
• Experience designing scalable applications and APIs
• Good knowledge of MongoDB, Redis or similar technologies
• Experience with CI/CD, containerised environments, and automated testing
• Strong technical judgement, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with cloud platforms and AI-assisted development tools would be beneficial

What you'll be doing:

• Design, build and maintain full-stack financial planning and modelling applications
• Take ownership of development from technical design through to production
• Contribute to architecture, performance, scalability and security improvements
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing
• Lead code reviews, share knowledge and support the development of other engineers
• Work closely with Product and business stakeholders to deliver practical technical solutions
