Job summary

Uswitch is seeking a talented engineer to own delivery end to end in a hybrid role based in London. You will design and build services across the stack, with emphasis on frontend and backend APIs while using JavaScript/TypeScript, Go and Clojure. You’ll take ownership of testing, quality, and architectural decisions in a small, autonomous team.

The role offers strong growth, exposure to energy-market products, and the chance to influence consumer experiences in UK home-life services.

Qualifications

• Experience across frontend and backend development, delivering end-to-end services.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar languages quickly and apply them to real projects.
• Pragmatic approach to delivering solutions that meet business and consumer needs.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery end to end within a small, experienced team with autonomy over technical decisions.
• Design and build services across the stack using JavaScript/TypeScript, Go and Clojure among others.
• Take full ownership of testing and quality with no dedicated QA function.
• Build understanding of the energy market to shape solutions, not just implement requirements.
