Job summary

VanRath is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its Belfast engineering team. You will work on a next-generation platform, partnering with global cloud providers and a talented group of engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality software.

Ideal candidates have strong TypeScript experience across front-end and back-end stacks, with AWS, microservices, and modern development practices. This is a hybrid role with career progression and exposure to cutting-edge cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks.
• Backend development with TypeScript, Java, or C#.
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL and WebSockets.
• Experience with AWS and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Testing: unit, integration and end-to-end.
• CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Version control with Git and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and deploy robust, scalable software solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvements across engineering practices and processes.
• Collaborate with architects, technical leads and engineers across the wider team.
• Take part in architectural and technical design discussions.
• Help modernise and refactor existing systems toward the target architecture.
• Develop scalable and reusable services across the platform.
• Champion quality engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support and mentor junior and developing engineers.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture focused on technical excellence and continuous improvement.
