Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to develop and maintain our transfer platform across React frontends and AWS serverless backends. You will own features end-to-end, contribute to CI/CD, and work with product owners to deliver across transfer journeys.

The role emphasizes ownership, initiative, and solving problems autonomously within a hybrid work model based in Bristol. Strong TypeScript, React, and AWS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Backend/BFF with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building serverless AWS backends (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Familiarity with DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store.
• RESTful API design and security patterns.
• AWS CDK or SST for infrastructure as code.
• Frontend work in React with TypeScript is a plus.
• Experience with testing (Vitest) and API mocking (MSW).
• CI/CD and monorepo workflows, GitLab CI preferred.
• Knowledge of OAuth/token-based authentication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across transfer journeys in the app.
• Work across full stack: React frontends, AWS Lambda, and infrastructure as code.
• Own issues end-to-end from investigation to production deployment.
• Identify and address technical debt, bugs, and improvements.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Write well-tested, maintainable code with good coverage.
• Collaborate with platform teams and product owners to deliver requirements.
