Hargreaves Lansdown PLC is building a next-generation platform for one of the UK's leading financial services providers with over 2 million clients. We seek a Software Engineer to join the Dealing Journeys squad, delivering critical capabilities in the heart of the investment experience.

You will develop modern applications using TypeScript and React, collaborating with product managers and designers to ship features for millions of clients.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing modern applications using TypeScript and React.
• Solid understanding of frontend engineering principles and performance optimisation.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Awareness of accessibility best practices including WCAG compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve high-quality software across web, mobile and backend services following engineering standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to deliver new features for clients.
• Build and enhance customer-facing experiences using React and React Native, and support APIs and services.
• Write clean, secure, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to cloud-native and distributed systems for business-critical journeys.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to quality engineering practices.
